redarrow: sorry, but I don't know how to use ob_start(). I looked it up in manual but still can get it do any good.
anyway I'm posting my code
<?php
$to = 'user@domain';
$topic = 'Topic';
$body = 'Text';
$header = 'From: xyz <xyz@domain>';
mail($to, $topic, $body, $header);
?>
I wrote ob_start() in the begining but nothing changed. Without $header mail is sent instantly. With $header script loads quite long and the email is sent after some time.

Hi!
I've tried to search through the forums but I couldn't find anything useful.
mail($to, $topic, $body, $headers), where $headers = 'From: someone <someone@domain>', executes *much* longer than mail($to, $topic, $body). What can be the reason?
