i have tried the program you suggested, but i cannot have access from a remote pc so this option will not work. any other ideas you may have would be brill ta Peter :roll:

i have been trying to use your script \" Database Backup Utility \" without any joy, when i call the script i get a lot of errors that lead me to think i am not putting the full path to the directory in ok \" $savepath \". any help would be brill :shock: before i go to mad thanks Peter
