404 on why is it free, privacy policy, terms and conditions. Forget password needs an explanation, I don't know to enter email or username from that form. The images are missing. I recommend writing something like [Register Now] below the login. It looks out of place in the top bar. On the register page, I think it should follow the same template. Also, it is hard to read the black on the dark gray. Lastly, for terms and conditions on the register page, confirming email looks like a condition, and in my opinion the words terms and conditions should link to a pop up with the terms and conditions.

If your redoing it I suggest using the armory and just asking for their user name and server (or server could be defined by the admin). I agree with the image being way to big. I would rather you put Javascript on a page to do the image rotation then have a 6MB image. You could also use flash which would probably work that out to about 1/10 the size, but still too much. I don't care for the navigation. I would like to boxes to be more 'noticeable'. (Make the color stand out more).
