Hi Am using Windows-2000 Apache-2.0.52 Mysql-4.0.20 PHP-4.3.8 Versions in two servers. I would like to synchronize the my local database to the remote database server. for that We need to add some lines to the my.cnf file. /mysql/etc/my.cnf(path). [b]Master[/b] 1) I created one user for replication with file permissions. like GRANT FILE ON *.* TO repl@"%" IDENTIFIED BY '<password>'; 2) Added these lines to my.cnf file of server log-bin server-id=1 [b]Slave[/b] 1) master-host=myhost master-user=myuser master-password=**** master-port=3306 server-id=2 After restarting the both mysql servers actually replication should start. But replication is not wokring. I have checked the log files on both the systems. No errorl messages r thr. I could not understand wts the problem here.
