[Replication in MySQL???]

Not sure why you chose the FILE permission -- you need the REPLICATION permission. I suggest you re-read [a href=\"http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/replication-howto.html\" target=\"_blank\"]this tutorial[/a] on getting replication up and running.

Replication is working fine in both the servers.

If there is any problem in one server. replication will stop.

logging following error into log file

resumed in log 'wtjobser-bin.003' at position 16380

how can i replicate the data from this position.

[Replication in MySQL???]

Hi

Am using

Windows-2000
Apache-2.0.52
Mysql-4.0.20
PHP-4.3.8

Versions in two servers. I would like to synchronize the my local database to the remote database server.

for that We need to add some lines to the my.cnf file. /mysql/etc/my.cnf(path).

[b]Master[/b]

1) I created one user for replication with file permissions. like
GRANT FILE ON *.* TO repl@"%" IDENTIFIED BY '<password>';

2) Added these lines to my.cnf file of server

log-bin
server-id=1

[b]Slave[/b]

1)

master-host=myhost
master-user=myuser
master-password=****
master-port=3306
server-id=2

After restarting the both mysql servers actually replication should start.

But replication is not wokring. I have checked the log files on both the systems.

No errorl messages r thr. I could not understand wts the problem here.

Can anybody please suggest me...
