Sorry yeh I put the second argument as string, nothing is displayed on the page, the only thing i get is the small error icon on the bottom of the browser window(ie explorer) when i double click it points to that line number with the above text and says access denied. I wasn't sure if wamp had to be configured in some way.

I have the WAMP server installed (Windows, Apache, MysQl and PHP) I made a very small php script <?php echo "text returned from server"; ?> the java script I have written to read this file this line is generating an access denied error message XMLHttpRequestObject.open(“GET”, myphpfile.php); - getting access denied error message they are both running on localhost, anyone know how to resolve this.
