I'm having problems getting 2 of my sites to display properly in IE6...no surprise, I know...the first site is having a classic float-drop issue, I have a width set on the float's containing block but that doesn't seem to help...when the window is resized it still drops below its unfloated neighbor...this page can be seen here....

my 2nd site has a floated ul with an unfloated nested ul in the menu bar...in IE6 the background-color of the menu bar completely covers over the floated ul's nested ul and the nested ul is unable to be seen or interacted with....here it is...

I would like to avoid using tables so I'm hoping there's a way to get IE to handle these floats properly...I appreciate any help...
