  1. Hey, well, a bit of a "duh" I found it in the manual under version_compare(); This is for others who might be looking for the same thing. Asher
  2. Pretty simple question: There's pl#'s, RC#'s, and b#'s. sometimes there's even pl#RC#'s... what order do these go in? 3.0b4 is before 3.0b6 obviously. But are b's before pl's, before RC's? or are b's after RC's after pl's? Asher
  3. Crazy as it may sound, I'm trying to write something backwards compatible for a potential client who doesn't want to upgrade. However, I don't have access to his environment yet, so I'm developing it in my environment which supports PHP 5.
  4. Okay, well, call me inexperienced in this regard... I'm assuming I can get a good one at php.net, but I don't know how. Where can I get a good distribution of PHP 3 to try? EDIT: I can compile a distribution, I know how to do that. Asher
  5. ??? I know this might be an odd question, but does PHP version 3 support the define() function? What little PHP 3 documentation I have doesn't seem to contain the function, but I would think PHP 3 would support constants. I realize that upgrading and using PHP 4 and PHP 5 would give me the define() function, but that's not what I'm looking for, just the answer to this specific question. When the manual says, "PHP 4, PHP 5" and excludes "PHP 3" it's not always accurate, as there are many functions supported by PHP 3 not listed in the current manual. If anyone could help me that would be great, Asher
