  1. reinstalled Apache and followed the instructions at: http://www.arterground.com/ before I'd installed Apache prior to following these guide lines. Although I had edited the http.conf to include /localhost where I thought it was needed, this didn't seem to resolve my predicament. So then I reinstalled and as I said followed "agergound.com" guide lines
  2. Example output of Apache error log: [Wed Sep 16 16:54:33 2009] [notice] Apache/2.2.13 (Win32) PHP/5.3.0 configured -- resuming normal operations [Wed Sep 16 16:54:33 2009] [notice] Server built: Aug 6 2009 15:50:50 [Wed Sep 16 16:54:33 2009] [notice] Parent: Created child process 772 [Wed Sep 16 16:54:34 2009] [notice] Child 772: Child process is running [Wed Sep 16 16:54:34 2009] [notice] Child 772: Acquired the start mutex. 3. I'm following this install example http://www.arterground.com/ Apache Services list the following: Name Apache2.2 Description Apache/2.2.13 (Win32) PHP/5.3.0 Status Started Log on as Local System This seems to tell me that the php module is recognized by apache. suggestions why my browser can not find the phpinfo.php which is in my C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs I even put this path in my Windows environmental variables list. I'm running Firefox browser (latest version) This what I added to httpd config file # LoadModule php5_module "C:/Program Files/php/php5apache2_2.dll" AddHandler application/x-http-php .php PHPIniDir "C:/Program Files/php" <IfModule dir_module> DirectoryIndex index.html index.php </IfModule> suggestions?
  4. the moderator can delete this! I had used a install version that was automatic. Read the docs I was following didn't use the same auto install. I went and extracted all the files from a zipped version of the same php version and that fixed this problem. Something else must have been missing or maybe it was a permissions attribute?
  5. Why is this happening??? LoadModule php5_module "C:/Program Files/php/php5apache2_2.dll" AddHandler application/x-http-php .php PHPIniDir "C:/Program Files/PHP" Above is what I added to my apache2.2 httpd When I execute Apache (with these lines) Apache won't start now. It complains that it can not load C:/Program Files/php/php5apache2_2.dll The specified module can not be found. WHAT? Hay mr apache serve... it's right where I told you find it. what's the deal? I tired to post a screen picture of my C:/Program Files/Php but that's beyond me too it seems with the edit option on this forum [attachment deleted by admin]
