Removing that had no effect

Hi, I'm just starting on a new site and I can't seem to get the menu to align how I want it: http://smtdesigns.co.uk/zone3/ Obviously it needs to be over to the left and with no black gaps between the menu, the head and the content area. css file: http://smtdesigns.co.uk/zone3/zone3.css I assume it's something simple but couldn't figure it out, maybe the top and bottom part of the menu should have seperate containers/divs or something. Hope you guys can help and maybe give me advice on my general setup with the divs and alignment as it seems there's several ways of doing things but not sure which is best.

Sorry, all that does is set the boxes centered but in a vertical list. Maybe I mislead you. What I want is so that the boxes as a group are centered so the boxes run horizontally but together are centered in the middle of the page.

I've only learn want I know so far through playing about and I come across so many problems which I know are simple ones that I should know how to solve. Where would be a good place to start learning high quality css designed websites? I have 'design' skills to do the sort of imagery on all the sites at www.cssremix.com only I don't have the css/coding skills to piece it together. I could do with some sort of 'professional site design from scratch' guide.

Sorry for my naivety but which width needs to be set to 100% and I wasn't sure if you meant anything else needs changing?

I'm trying to align these 3 boxes on both the pages below to the center of page. I've tried using margin:0px auto in the containing box as well as text-align:center but I'm having no luck with either for some reason. thanks wildteen! the quote banner seems to have inherited the top padding of the top div. do you know if it's possible to prevent this? http://customdc.co.uk/

Hi, im currently working on this site for a friend/client: http://customdc.co.uk/ I've just added the 'get a quote' button at the top left but i'd prefer it so it doesn't shift the rest of the site down, how do I do this? In IE6 I seem to having problems with the bottom div extending to its full height and it also stretches the border out too wide, does anyone know how to fix this?

Sorry I actually meant IE6, the same problem occurs in IE6

In all other browsers the boxes at the bottom align centrally, which i've simply done using padding (as I worked out the necessary padding needed when in photoshop). http://customdc.co.uk/ In IE5 however, the boxes cling to the left a bit.
