I have a site that promotes a professional fighting event. There is a site called Sherdog (www.sherdog.com) that has a Fight Finder. Basically stats on almost EVERY fighter. EVERY guy that fights in my event has his stats on www.sherdog.com. I would like a search box on my site where visitors can type in a name and it searches www.Sherdog.com basically they go to my site and if they want to search a fighter, they type in Eric and hit enter, that takes them here: http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfinder.asp?FirstName=eric&LastName=&NickName=&search=yes Is that possible?

I have made simple polls before but can't figure out how to make a poll for this, where you click on he fighter you think is going to win.

Hello everyone. I really want to make a database of Fighters. This will be for a sport called Brazlian Jiu Jitsu. The database will be searchable. Once you fight a fighter you click on his name and his stats will pop up and a list of who he fought and when. On the list of Who he fought, the opponents names will be clickable and take you to their profile page showing all of their info and their fights etc. A perfect example of what I want is here: http://combatrec.com/display_athlete.php?fighter_id=17130 That is a database of MMA fighters. The only difference is mine will be Jiu Jitsu fighters. I am too new to be able to create something so complicated though and don't have the $ to pay someone (no idea even what it'd cost) Is there a already made script out there that I could do this with? ???

I am just getting in to learning PHP and MYSQL and have been searching for a webhost to learn on. Most charge that much or more per month. Did I miss something or overlook something? Would I need any other features?

I guess what I really can't figure out is how to have a poll laid out like the link I provided, where each match is a poll but the fighters name is the link to vote.

Wow. This is VERY interesting. Unfortunately I don't know how to go about this but just by reading your replies I have learned alot. Would anyone be interested in helping? I don't want someone to do this for me. I would love to have someone guide me through it though so I can actually learn.

I saw a link on this forum to an awesone looking webhost but I can't find it now. I remember the prices were GREAT and one of the features was something called Virtual Drive (something like that) where you it was as if the host was a drive on your computer, you didn't have to FTP...any guess who that host was?
