[Is this possible]

Hi

I have 2 databases I want to import the customer from one databse into anouther.

The systems are totally seperate but the data is the same Ie the field name are different.

 

I want to export the old database in to excel change teh name around and then import it via php my admin. can this be done. Im am a bit of a noob were MySQL is concerned.

Ok I have this smf databse Imtrying to impotr it via PHPMyAdmin but the server keeps hanging up on me.

I havent changed the login, you can use US : admin PW: admin

but it just comes up with invalid login.

 

Can some one help me with this, or recommend a good script that will do what I want. I want the site to be like wikipedia.

[Transfering to a new database]

Hi

I have this old data base from a ecommerce store and I want to upgrade it to a new oscommerce one.

 

I am trying to transfer the customers over

 

Is it possible to just pick out certain field and input them into the new data base?

 

I want to pick out the folowing fields CustomerID, Firstname, lastname, Email, Password, Telephone

 

I tried changing the table name to the same one as in the Oscommerce database and then I changes the field names that I wanted. I then dropped the fiels i didnt want i then submitted it or imported it . But that doesnt seem to have work can any one help on what I should do ?

Remember search engine crawlers and spiders don't take in everything on your site they only take in the first 100k and then leave and index the rest next time.

 

First of all I would recommend having a separate portal for every page.

It is a good Idea to have every page and video on you site map, that's the purpose of it. To have every part of your site with in reach.

If it is going to be more that a few megs then split it up into sitemap1, sitemap2, and so on this way every page on you site is going to be with in 2 clicks of the home page.

Also remember to do lots of internal linking don't just rely on site maps.

Can you send the URL of your site, So we can look at it. Remeber the domain name must be relevant, the page name, the page title. Those are the main things google will take a look at first.

 

For this second keword you are looking for how manys search a month are run on it ?

Also try making a special page on you site such as www.yourdomain.com/secondkeyword

 

Have that one with some articles that should help.

Take a look at your stats have you been visited by a robot called "yahoo! slurp"

If you haven't then yahoo doesn't even know about you.
