[SOLVED] Newbie question about RSS feeds and how to use them
ev5unleash replied to Prodigal Son's topic in PHP Coding Help
IE 6 Does not have RSS Support at all -
Alright, I'll try it when I get the chance.

What if it's an .exe file?
-
I was wondering how to do a php file request. I already know how to do a page request but I want to know how to make it so I when someone requests "downloads?id=smartboardsolution(.exe)" they get the file download "smartboardsolution.exe".
-
I would make the interface look simpler and less complex. Just a suggestion if you want to make the service easier and faster to use.
-
No, I'm not the designer of the template. The credit to the designers is in the source and at the bottom of the page.
-
Alright, No problem. I'm not dealing with the problems of design flaws atm. I've used a pre-set template to my site. Check it out. http://www.ev5unleash.com

Is using the container the only way to do this? Because i'm using a PHP Include script set up.
-
Okay, I made that change to the CSS file plus the background-attachment (to: fixed) but it does not show the top background (by looking at the page)/
-
Alright, I found out this is not a problem with my page. I inserted it directly into my css file and I still get the unexpected white bar.
-
The reason that the CSS codes are not together is because when you go to the contact page it replaces HTML in the table with the contact HTML. This is the contact code <link href="/css.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> <style type="text/css"> <!-- html { background-image: url(/images/sidebarcolor1.png); background-repeat: repeat-x; background-position: center bottom; background-attachment: fixed; margin:0; padding:0; } --> </style> Contact information I want it so that the purple background will show at the bottom without the problem with the top border. It's very hard for me to beleave that the white bar at the top of the page comes out of no where.
-
I'll work on the errors but I need help with having two backgrounds. I have two now but everytime there is two a white top border shows up. Any ideas on hwo to get rid of it?
-
bump, really need help

So does http://browsershots.org/ for free but thanks Dave. I found out that firefox is the only major browser that can property measure pixel lengths hence the look of the search box on IE, Safari and Oprea

Alright I followed a tutorial on how to have two backgrounds on a webpage at the same time. I got it to work on the contact page of (http://www.ev5unleash.com/indexnew.php) but I there is an error that I don't know how to fix. At the top of the page there is a little white spacing. (Direct link to the page with the error http://www.ev5unleash.com/indexnew.php?id=49fjdkfodijfldkji

I was currently editing it at the time of your view dannyb785. I have taken away the annoying javascript, the mouse over problem, taken away the Tom and Evan Show site (discontinued show) and taken away the hit counter on the SMB page.
-
http://www.ev5unleash.com/indexnew.php I need some suggestions and error reports if any. I would also like to see if the site works good with all types of browsers (ex. Safari, IE, Firefox)
-
Never mind, I modified it and I have fixed my problem.

What should be in the files top (header) and botton (footer). Yeah, I don't just have a bottom and top of the page. Where I want the content is part of the page if you look at the source of http://www.ev5unleash.com/home.php
-
I'm having trouble understanding but all in very basic terms all I want is if you put ?id=contact in the address bar it will show the contact information with the home.php as a template. So I don't have to update every page I create.
