i want to be able to make sure a user is logged in, before being able to view a pdf. so, I think i will need all of my authentication scripts to run in the same browser window that the PDF displayes in. right now a user can go to url.com/documents/file_name.pdf and view it, even if they are not logged in. Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks for your help!

Hi, I am new to a lot of this php stuff, but i am LOVING learning it, so any help is much apreciated! I have a site that is used for uploading files. power users are able to upload files, and they can pick data users to view files. My question...power users are "logged" out after 30 minutes, so it is not possible to post a file that takes over 30 minutes to post. I am assuming that this has something to do with the session variable. i dont know what other info you will need to help me, so ask and I will answer... Thanks again for your help! Josh
