hi again , how can we make a rounded rectangle (with gradient fill) in css , the rectangle is 50 pixel high and when it is clicked it has to be 300 px high

Hi all, i am new in here and trying to learn CSS layout. I have one problem (nesting DIVS) , hope you guys can help me out. I have attached an image for a reference, I am stuck in that red box, how to make that align with that text areas as in the picture. i have used <div> with width and height specified for the outer box with padding : 16px for the gaps around it and have used span for all other things , Should i use span or div i am confused in that. Can anyone see the picture and help me just a hint will work , i don't have clear concept on nesting divs please please please thanks [attachment deleted by admin]
