I am searching for an open source, simple and light framework, that would have common modules like login, user registration and management, menus management etc to use as a base to build my application. Is there a way to read the version number of a binary setup file (e.g. A .msi files). Such a feature is available in .NET and there should be way to do it in PHP. Any pointers would be useful. Regards, Netplay

Hi There, I have a windows MSI file. It has a database file which you can read database by using tools such as Orca (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/255905) Is it possible to access these values in php. I am implementing an update server. It would be great if I could retrieve a version string directly from the Setup file using PHP. Besides, any details on how I can get version numbers from a windows setup file in PHP would be much appreciated. Thanks and Regards, Alec
