  1. First use of forum post: Clicking the Preview button does go to Preview, but positions the browser window at the Edit screen, rather than at the Preview. (let's include that for the second use as well) ;-)
  2. Preface: Although I know nothing about php, I did whatever homework I could do, searching online, looking in books at the bookstore, and did search this forum first. Volunteered to help a nonprofit chapter get their web site up again when their webmaster became unavailable. Turned out the files set sent was in php (stated as with no database). Uploaded the files set to the server via FTP, and just tried to view the files. I have not truly launched into learning php yet. Would just like to have the preexisting files set viewable, so that perhaps I can understand how I can or cannot assist them to have something they can maintain easily (that I would be able to assist with currently). Hosting does have php 5 on board (godaddy.com). General situation: In browser, the main index.php displays, but the images do not. Also when using the alternate links, the pages called do not display...as though something needs to setup a set of paths? I checked in what seemed to be pertinent files and folders, viewing such functions as a menuload, mangle, preloadimages, etc., in the view source body tag and elsewhere. The relative addresses of images and files, etc., appeared correct (from an html perspective). Question: What am I not doing that is causing these images and files to not display? If that is too primitive a question for this forum, could you direct me to books or primer tutorials which answer such questions? Seems every book I found, instructing on the basics of creating php etc. on up, just never mentioned such things...and then troubleshooting comments were always about things far beyond that stage.
