  3. Hi guys its relay easy to open mailboxes on Linux machines but its hard to open them on windows. i am trying to connect to my exchange server i have used WebDav and it told me connection timed out apparently due to https web-form issues that it didn't cater for. I used imap_open that seems to not work. Any suggestions guys ? thanks
  4. Tortoise is an svn client (a pretty crap one at that). Are you looking up setting up a server? Iv had a 3 year career as a developer and i get about to different companies, been to 2 big isp's with subversion and development with 10 users and open source ide, iv been to low level web host manager places, im at one of them right now in a permanat job; basicaly just setting up a proper system for them atm projects just flowing in and im just doing them i got my IDE sorted out using public key auth now i just need to setup subversion, at some point im gona have a few developers under me so i need to integrate it properly into the ide and cycle, i need to setup scripts for upload from dev to live etc etc. both isp's i worked at the boss man sorted teh subversion for me and let me develop on them, 2nd isp was 10 developers before just 2 developers, been in team of 4 with another 2 developers and now am the sole developer in a team of 4. done soem freelance last month but am perm again. i think i need more explanation of the svn client server integration, i always thogh u just have a server and your ide is a client using its plugin ???
  5. Thanks m8 thats relay good, i use the regex one a lot.
  6. Hi guys Im using a tool that compresses its XML output file, i would like to read and edit this XML file; is there any tools out there that let you edit compressed xml ? Thanks guys Oh and does anyone know if you can submit image file locations in Google site maps and can you have meta keywords because i got a warning the other day. if i rename the file .zip and open it, it creates a file with the first 200 lines or so uncompressed so the algorithms nearly close. Regards
  7. thanks i will let you know how that goes, i noticed on my windows machien tehre is tortoise svn, do you think i shoudl go down that rout ?
  8. i got it working, hopefully it will be easier in teh future, tehres too many complicated factors for its worth with non critical apps
  9. i cant install subversion on my linux box because we have blocked it from internet access. I have a hosting servive and i have the root password and can create many accounts and have ftp and shell. Can i use subversion on that ?
  10. ok i figured it out, so: working with a windows workstation box and a *nix server 1. generate the keys on your server using " ssh-keygen -t dsa " this will store the keys in your .ssh folder, copy the created public key into your known_hosts file 2. copy the private key and bring it down onto your workstation into a file and load it into putty and let it convert then save it as something. 3. in your IDE define teh converted output file as the known hosts file for the connection.
  11. this is what i have ---- BEGIN SSH2 PUBLIC KEY ---- Comment: "dsa-key-20100601" AAAAB3NzaC1kc3MAAACBALfaxaMRL4GXMYt29ZsewgcIiNTC/AZsXXMKLbXnL1EZ ELpNQ+MIkJunw2ClYEfKYw/kv2vzc1US8hPa5851GMTML4836IGdm22BMBDI6FZA M6kBy5LWcbr/Q3XnsO4VX9jACimxLIpiSPbegEVn7xTuYQMKdJzSY+KmfXquqBRD AAAAFQDew7fTib7y3CjZoo8vNNTOJgiCNQAAAIB6vFrrYjhLHBr90Gg/Uet1i7PK XvZRuhhoYLox9qKZiqK8/1vyv6CQFWLu9fDdNXxxqvRnjrYrb3LwveZo8VboqCwQ Rb/6hLcaw684zEn6c10DmQOMHeVI5sIRgWTgvnPL/iWIN+JqVsZgDAo5TnbdyUyE nPF3i9GzV8mSFRFNwwAAAIEAt7UcoRLGctv3hCrIuQH8kOMPj71tkNUEvgCinCun WXKPFOm4Nsr1D5TAO5FmAuMN1R1NB4JAJuG+Q/0untTgPGPKqQWoK7OjzB2Nfm8j Jy7zw1y5oKL0dSy2/bWyWKfntPXGCQJDLVbymw8XcxSNH2dmrSJvM/o1XcyWGiqp hJ0= ---- END SSH2 PUBLIC KEY ---- and PuTTY-User-Key-File-2: ssh-dss Encryption: aes256-cbc Comment: dsa-key-20100601 Public-Lines: 10 AAAAB3NzaC1kc3MAAACBALfaxaMRL4GXMYt29ZsewgcIiNTC/AZsXXMKLbXnL1EZ ELpNQ+MIkJunw2ClYEfKYw/kv2vzc1US8hPa5851GMTML4836IGdm22BMBDI6FZA M6kBy5LWcbr/Q3XnsO4VX9jACimxLIpiSPbegEVn7xTuYQMKdJzSY+KmfXquqBRD AAAAFQDew7fTib7y3CjZoo8vNNTOJgiCNQAAAIB6vFrrYjhLHBr90Gg/Uet1i7PK XvZRuhhoYLox9qKZiqK8/1vyv6CQFWLu9fDdNXxxqvRnjrYrb3LwveZo8VboqCwQ Rb/6hLcaw684zEn6c10DmQOMHeVI5sIRgWTgvnPL/iWIN+JqVsZgDAo5TnbdyUyE nPF3i9GzV8mSFRFNwwAAAIEAt7UcoRLGctv3hCrIuQH8kOMPj71tkNUEvgCinCun WXKPFOm4Nsr1D5TAO5FmAuMN1R1NB4JAJuG+Q/0untTgPGPKqQWoK7OjzB2Nfm8j Jy7zw1y5oKL0dSy2/bWyWKfntPXGCQJDLVbymw8XcxSNH2dmrSJvM/o1XcyWGiqp hJ0= Private-Lines: 1 REMz0QKEBP9nXRPEGCe9r1uHOnzJZ8q9jiIMoazeJtc= Private-MAC: be00aa5b0233417b8c666ea06ea1267c4ac369ad shoudl i be removing new lines ????
  12. my IDE keeps saying invalid private_key private_key.ppk and the IDE in project config also asks for a known hosts file
  13. There is an issue wich is that i cant get it to work, maybe its the wrong algorithm or flavor. i have generated using PUTTYGEN on my workstation C:\private_key_192.168.16.20.pkf C:\public_key_192.168.16.20 I copy and paste public key into the servers .ssh/known_hosts file (SHOULD I do this on the root account or the FTP account i use to log into FTP when developing using the IDE ???) The IDE at my workstation end asks for the private key file am i doing right ?
  14. Hi Guys I am a bit confused with this SSH authentication using stored keys, my IDE keeps asking me to authenticate each time i save etc etc. OK so I have a free BSD box onto which i remotely save data using an IDE which keeps asking for confirmation of authenticity i have to press enter that's it, the account is a child account. Ok so i tried a few attempts generating a key with putty and and putting it places in .ssh on the freebsd box like known_hosts etc. I cant get it to work. Can someone help me out or direct me to some tutorial. Regards Nadeem
