unidox
I normally have the html/css design on index.php and use: if ($_GET['page']) { include($_GET['page']); } else { echo "This is the main page"; } But I have seen some sites use index.php and then like about.php. I was wondering do they have the design on each of the pages or are they using post or something. Thanks Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/100487-_post/ Share on other sites
Daniel0
They probably have other files handling the template files. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/100487-_post/#findComment-513883 Share on other sites
eRott
Has nothing to do with post. Either they have the website design on the page itself, or they have their layout broken into two parts, a header and a footer file. Then they just include the header and the footer and type the content of that page in between. [EXAMPLE] header.php <html> <head> <title>Example</title> </head> <body> <center> footer.php </center> </body> </html> index.php <?php include("header.php"); ?> Hello there! <?php include("footer.php"); ?> [RESULT <html> <head> <title>Example</title> </head> <body> <center> Hello there! </center> </body> </html> EDIT: Exactly what Daniel0 said. They have other files handling the template. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/100487-_post/#findComment-513887 Share on other sites
