gendarme777 Posted April 14, 2008 Share Posted April 14, 2008 I Downloaded and installed apache server 2.2.8 on windows XP. In order to check if it was installed properly I typed in the address bar localhost or 127.0.0.1 and then windows prompt me to enter user name and password. This is the first time I installed apache server. I did not do any changes in the configuration file. As soon as I installed the softaware I tried to check it by typing localhost and then prompted me for authentication. Please help me if you you what is the problem. I am newbie as far apache server.
