lovesmith
Is it possible to telecast/stream live TV channels in the internet using PHP. If yes, what are the steps to be undertaken? Thanks Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/101964-streaming-live-tv-via-internet-using-php/ Share on other sites

lovesmith
Nope, i m into project for a TV channel. They want their site, from where their visitors can see live TV programs. They can see programs being telecasted by them as they see in Television. maexus
If someone thinks I'm wrong, please let me know but I don't think PHP is the language you want for something like this. woobarb
ffmpeg server or vlc? it definitely php! Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/101964-streaming-live-tv-via-internet-using-php/#findComment-521874 Share on other sites
Fadion
From my humble knowledge, streaming live video requires a streaming server. Adobe has the great Flash Media Streaming Server, which i guess is offered also as hosted plan. Anyway it all depends on the number of users watching live events simultaneously. Fadion
Not sure if youtube uses ffmpeg, but if yes its definitely for post-upload processing. woobarb
mmm they convert to low res flash clips. However in my personal opinion ffmpeg is surely one of the best av apps around and definitively has a streaming server for virtually every codec available.
