Can anyone tell me if there is any opensource (in php-mysql) available for building a music based website? Let me clarify as best I can...I want to build a online music site with different types of user profiles in it (like various band informations , their record labels etc.). I have a bit of knowledge in php-mysql, but, I'm looking for an opensource project (if there is any) that goes with my requirements rather than building it from scratch. Anyone to help me? Daniel0 Posted April 26, 2008 Share Posted April 26, 2008 Well, there are loads of content management systems (CMS) out there. There is Drupal and Joomla just to name a few. I haven't used any of them and I'm not sure how their licenses are though. You could try to check them out. [1] I think OSPO may serve my needs...but the bad thing is that I am not being able to download it (it seems like the source-code is not available under this project). [2] Yes, I also appreciate the suggestion for using those popular CMSs...but you know, for the time being I am just interested to know if there is anything available (obviously under open-source projects) that can mostly suit the needs of a music site. However, thank you for all the replies and I will look forward if anyone can help me with a more relevant link.
