kpetsche20
I have a working image upload script, however when a user adds a image I want it to upload to the upload folder, then make a subfolder for that persons usersname. The code I have right now only uploads to the upload folder. Example: Username: demo I want to upload to the folder upload/demo(theusername) <?php if ($_FILES["file"]["error"] > 0) { echo "Return Code: " . $_FILES["file"]["error"] . "
"; } else { echo "Upload: " . $_FILES["file"]["name"] . "
"; echo "Type: " . $_FILES["file"]["type"] . "
"; echo "Size: " . ($_FILES["file"]["size"] / 1024) . " Kb
"; echo "Temp file: " . $_FILES["file"]["tmp_name"] . "
"; if (file_exists("upload/" . $_FILES["file"]["name"])) { echo $_FILES["file"]["name"] . " already exists. "; } else { $url = 'upload/'; move_uploaded_file($_FILES["file"]["tmp_name"], "$url/" . $_FILES["file"]["name"]); echo "Stored in: " . "upload/" . $_FILES["file"]["name"]; } } ?> Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/106242-problem-using-the-make-directory-function-mkdir/ Share on other sites

corbin
I'm feeling lazy, so... Google linux file permissions. The script does not have write access to the directory. You'll want to either chmod 777 the directory, or find out what user apache is running under and give that user full acess to the dir.
