Orionsbelter Posted May 24, 2008 Share Posted May 24, 2008 hi i bought a sever but dont really no much about them now a script isn't work on my website the code is $newpoints=$info->points+35; mysql_query("UPDATE user_info SET points='$newpoints' WHERE username='$username'"); the problem is that it wont add to points unless its a 0 so say it a 1 it just wont add to it no error displays come up. notthing Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
phpzone Posted May 24, 2008 Share Posted May 24, 2008 Need more information/code sample. What is $info for instance? Are you sure it exists and contains what you think is should do. Try this just before you set $newpoints: assert("is_object( $info ) && is_integer( $info->points )") If your $info isn't an object or points isn't an integer the assertion will fail.
