The Little Guy Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 How do you hide the text in a browsers progress bar? Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/108095-solved-progress-bar/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
The Little Guy Posted May 31, 2008 Author Share Posted May 31, 2008 I meant the status bar, I did get it to working in FF, but it doesn't work in IE... Here is what I have: <script type="text/javascript"> onload=function(){ var aTags = document.getElementsByTagName('a'); for(var i=0;i<aTags.length;i++){ aTags[i].setAttribute('onmouseover','window.status=\'\'; return true'); } } </script> Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/108095-solved-progress-bar/#findComment-554058 Share on other sites More sharing options...
ILYAS415 Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 what has the tag name 'a'? Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/108095-solved-progress-bar/#findComment-554235 Share on other sites More sharing options...
kbh43dz_u Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 if you can, just forget the script. "setAttribute" doesn't work with IE. Add the attribute directly to your link. Example: <a href="pat/to/file.html" onmouseover="window.status=' '; return true;"></a> (this also should work with javascript turned off) kind regards Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/108095-solved-progress-bar/#findComment-554251 Share on other sites More sharing options...
KevinM1 Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 Try: <script type="text/javascript"> window.onload = function() { var links = document.getElementsByTagName("a"); for(var i = 0; i < links.length; i++) { links[i].onmouseover = function() { window.status = ""; } } } </script> Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/108095-solved-progress-bar/#findComment-554486 Share on other sites More sharing options...
