I don't see https in the login/registration pages of gmail, hotmail or phpfreaks. Will doing so be overkill? How is this normally done for a typical membership site? Many thanks in advance. jonsjava Posted June 5, 2008 Share Posted June 5, 2008 In order to use SSL, your domain needs an openSSL Certificate (or you can drop dough on a certificate from verisign). Best bet in this situation: just make sure your code is secure, and don't bother with ssl. You don't need it for a typical site.
