What does the following mean?? ... i am trying to create a contact page and send an email with the details to an email id. Warning: mail() [function.mail]: Failed to connect to mailserver at "localhost" port 25, verify your "SMTP" and "smtp_port" setting in php.ini or use ini_set() in C:\xampp\htdocs\examples\send.php on line 6 Thanks a ton!! ober Posted June 12, 2008 Share Posted June 12, 2008 If you're using a mail server in a local environment (non-hosted solution), you need to modify the php.ini file to point to a mail server that would be running on the local environment.
