CowGuy
I recently setup an apache server in my basement, I cannot connect to it on other computer on my lan. But my friend can connect to it. Any computer that isn't on my lan can connect to it for some reason. Anyone have any ideas why it would do this?
trq
Are you trying to access the server by a domain name or a local ip address?
CowGuy
Domain name. I am pretty sure I have my hosts setup right too. The site is iphone.ftpaccess.cc
trq
You can only define one host of the same name within the hosts file. Remove the 75* (remote) one.
CowGuy
You can only define one host of the same name within the hosts file. Remove the 75* (remote) one. So I should remove the 75.30.233.255 ? When I tried that it still didn't work.
trq
This hosts file resides on your computer not the server right?
CowGuy
This hosts file resides on your computer not the server right? Uh no, this is the host file on my server. Should I put the 75.30.233.255 address back on my server, and add the 192.168.1.77 to my local computer? Edit: Alright I fixed it. Thanks for the help!
