jaymax
Apache - Runnning two servers simultaneously on same machine -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, Need to do a migration from 1.3.x to 2.6 with minimum downtime. But cross version modules issues will be a problem. Can I run these two versions independently on the same box. So the production facility remains up while testing the newer? Thanks! jaymax
For the benefit of others V. 2.29 at least makes accomodation for this by installing in different base directories etc so that libs & execcutables are not clobbered. Different default ports have to be set however - 80 & 443 Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/111410-apache-runnning-two-servers-simultaneously-on-same-machine/#findComment-573453 Share on other sites
trq
Building from source you can choose where to place any software so yeah, running two versions is easliy doable. Problem is as you said, you cannot run them both on the same ports.
