Using the As in the Where ?

Guys if i create an As column can I then use it in the where clause?

 

This is what I am trying to get working...

 

SELECT id, name,DATE_FORMAT(NOW(), '%Y') - DATE_FORMAT(dob, '%Y') - (DATE_FORMAT(NOW(), '00-%m-%d') < DATE_FORMAT(dob, '00-%m-%d')) AS age FROM pal_member WHERE verified = '1' AND ((age >=25)AND(age <=27))

 

I want to test the age against the values in this case 25 and 27.

Ho, but you can use it in a HAVING clause ... BETWEEN 25 and 27 would be eaiser to read though.

 

Also, if DOB is a real date, there are some cleaner ways to determine age.
