Hello all. Very new to PHP, so please excuse the simple question.

What I am trying to do is print the current time, formatted to PST (which is not my timezone). Using PHP 5.1.0, my code looks like this:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
$currenttime = time();
$PST = date("F d, Y : h:i:s a O -8", $currenttime);
echo "the current time set to PST is $PST";
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When running the above I get the following output:

the current time set to PST is July 03, 2008 : 11:53:29 pm -0600 -8

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The time is correct for PST (GMT -8 hours), I just don't want it to display the -0600 -8.
Would someone please tell me the correct format using O to offset GMT -8 hours so that I do not get the -0600 -8 output.
Thank you very much for your help.
~Robert
