imagfinder
This may not be able to be done in just HTML, if not please point me in the right direction. I need to make a simple login on a website. It will allow some clients to view some special pages. The ideal way is to be able to login at any time on any page, and of-course those that don't login won't be able to see the pages that would be protected. Thanks. You'll need a server-side script to process the login info and check to see if the user is logged on while they navigate from page to page. You've come to the right place, since PHP can do exactly what you're looking for.

haku
It is, though for someone who knows no php, a simple CMS may be a much easier way to go. I've never used it, but CMS made simple is supposed to be fairly simple (it even says so in the name!).
Orikuuido
I think that considering that he/she may not know any PHP, and possibly MySQL (dependant on whether you will suggest database-driven logins, or simple sessions) that .htaccess may be the best bet for now. I don't know whether or not .htaccess is limited to Apache servers, so if they are using MS servers I'm useless. Hope that helps...
