matthew798 Posted September 1, 2008 Share Posted September 1, 2008 Hey all! Got a wierd one for ya. I set up a webserver at home and all is fine and dandy. My friend and i have beenw orking on a site recently and he has no trouble connecting to me from his home. The thing is, nobody else can connect to me... The only thing me and hi have in common is that we both use the same ISP. Also, i tried creating a sitemap with google but they couldnt connect to it either. I also tried to connect to my server via proxies in the US and none of them could get through. What really doesn't make sense to me is that only SOME people can connect to the server.... All the other computers on the LAN of the server connect to it just fine, so do all the computers at my friend's house ()he is not part of my lan, not even the same region). In any case, it's pissing me off because all i need to do is get a google sitemap and i'm good to go!!! Help would be appreciated!!! P.S. corbin Posted September 2, 2008 Share Posted September 2, 2008 My guess would be that your ISP blocks port 80 from the outside of the ISP's network.
