be sure you set the queried value as the src in an image tag.

 

<img src="<?=$yourvalue?>" />

 

Or

 

<img src="<?php echo($yourvalue); ?>" />

 

Or if you decide to just echo it out

 

<?php
echo("<img src=\"" . $yourval . "\" />");
?>

 

As far as hyperlinks go, it's the same concept, simply put the output as the "href" value inside the "<a >" tag
