matthew798
Hey guys! I want to create an administration system where someone can login and edit the news. The news page is formatted like this: ******DATE******** _______________________ NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS I want this person to HAVE to log in, and then be able to change whatever it says on the news page. What i was thinking was to have the admin section write a file with whatever the admin writes down, then have the news page read that same file and echo what it says, (with a little bit of HTML formatting) Also, i'd like for the news story in the 5th place (i.e. 5th week of weekly news) to automatically be deleted so the page doesn't become a million miles long. This i have no idea how to go about doing.... Security is not an issue because the news isn't private. What i wanna know is, is this the most efficient way of creating said news page or would using databses be easier? DarkWater
I always prefer databases, but not if you don't have any other database content. If it's just this one thing, a db is not worth it.
