[SOLVED] Php/mysql syntax error - how should this be written?

my code to pull the data into the recordset is:

if ($totalRows_Chosen_display == 0) {
  $colname_display_settings = $row_Chosen_display['chosen_disp_id'];
}
mysql_select_db($database_dvdsite, $dvdsite);
$query_display_settings = "SELECT * FROM display ";
$display_settings = mysql_query($query_display_settings, $dvdsite) or die(mysql_error());
$row_display_settings = mysql_fetch_assoc($display_settings);
$totalRows_display_settings = mysql_num_rows($display_settings);

i'm pretty sure this isn't working. I have two recordsets. One called Chosen display and one called display settings. They are to control what images are displayed on the page etc. I need the chosen display to link to the display settings for itself in order to know how the page should be layed out.

Any help fixing this problem or if you need to see more of the code let me know.

my email is whizzell@hotmail.co.uk if you'd rather email me.

thanx in advance will.
