waynew
I've googled for an answer to this but I have found zilch so far. How much can a MySQL database hold? As in GB? Is this defined by actual diskspace? It's just that I'll be launching a site that might take up quiet a bit of space. AndyB
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=473757 Terabytes looks like the answer Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/126013-question/#findComment-651639 Share on other sites
waynew
My question fully answered: Note that this is maximum table size, not database size. So effectively, the largest database size is not depending on MySQL, but your operating system and how it handles files. A singular table can hold up to 8 terabytes. Wow. Thanks for the link! It's been something that I've been wondering about for a long time but never had the time to enquire. Thanks again.
