xenophobia
Previously I am running the MySQL 6 community server. So due to some problem, my Mysql server are crashed and unable to start the service anymore. I do plan to reinstall the MySQL 6 but in the mean time I want to backup the data without using any tools (mysqldump or something similar) since my MySQL are unable to start.... So now I only copied all the files inside the /data directory. After I reinstalled my MySQL, the service is running back, and I tried to copy all the data into the new installed data directory. When I view it using phpMyAdmin, I can see the databases listed but when I clicked inside, no tables listed, not EVEN one!!! How? Help me! Am I going to lost all my data? My OS is winxp pro SP2, apache2 php5. My mysql Data file are all *.frm format. T.T Help me~ Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/126407-recovery-from-data-directory/ Share on other sites
fenway
Really? Using an experimental release for critical data? Oh well.... Are we talking about MyISAM tables here? What makes you think phpmyadmin is telling the truth? xenophobia
I just want to know whether there is a way to recovery back these data or not. Instead of using phpMyAdmin, I tried using the mysql.exe client to access the database, it is empty; no tables found.
