DarkWater
works brilliantly in firefox but IE has let me down, any ideas on how to work it in IE? I'm 99% sure that you can't decorate a select menu's text (bold, italics, etc) in IE, but I could be wrong.
xtopolis
An browser safe alternative would be to color them differently. Make the ones that standout a more prominent color, like black, while making the less important ones gray.
haku
I believe you can't do that in IE either. IE resists styling of option tags. There isn't a way around this with CSS. You *may* be able to use a javascript solution, but I have a feeling that javascript won't even work, as it's still running in an IE environment. Woodburn2006
ok cool thanks for the help anyway, i think the only solution is for IE to be destroyed and everyone use a decent browser
