Adding OCI8 to existing PHP/Apache on Redhat Linux Fedora 6

Hello,

I inherited a system which already had installed:

- Redhat Linux Fedora 6

- Apache 2.2.6

- PHP 5

- MySQL 5

- Webmin 1.370( I only have this remove access, but I have root account)

I need to add Oracle "instant client" to it, while maintaining all the existing modules that have installed

I already googled tons of instructions, but still worried about not re-building PHP, but after I rebuild PHP with the OCI8 on it, I will be missing something and my current App will stop working.

So, I would greatly appreciate if someone can guide me on howto safely add OCI8 without change existing system, or what I can do to lower the risk.

Thank you.
