lpglycerine Posted October 22, 2008 Share Posted October 22, 2008 I hope this is possible... is there a way to configure Apache 2.0 to allow the localhost to connect to itself through the machine's real ip address (instead of through 'localhost' or '192.168.x.x')? trq Posted October 22, 2008 Share Posted October 22, 2008 Nothing to do with apache and the short answer is no, though I think some routers are capable of what is called a 'reverse lookup' or similar. If Im sitting on computer A which looks out into the internet for a computer called computer A it will never find it because it isn't out in the internet. Why do you want to do this exactly? lpglycerine Posted October 22, 2008 Author Share Posted October 22, 2008 hm, it's because i'm running Apache along with a SHOUTcast Server and Wowza Media Server, all on the same computer.
