ainoy31
Hello- Isn't there a command to copy or extract a file from a remote server to my local hard drive. I have searched the web and have not found anything useful. Thank you. ainoy31
Thanks for the reply. I have already unzip the .gz file to my home directory on the server but I want to have a copy on the desktop as well. trq
If you want to move files from a directory on a remote machine to a directory on your local machine use scp. Your original question is kinda misleading.
