Riparian
Sorry but this does not fit anywhere on the other forums and I really need some advice. I have had a number of users write saying that their systems are super super slow and even freeze their systems while loading my site. Yesterday a user rang (they had been trying for 2 days with ie) I told them to use firefox and the site loaded no problem. This does not happen to me but then one of my machines auto upgraded to ie 7.0.5730.13 and guess what ... at least 5 minutes to load and then locked up. It is a php5 site with mysql databases My isp has loaded the site from 3 states with no trouble at all but I do not know with what browsers Question ... Could this be my html headers and can someone tell me what to use or any other suggestions Cheers Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/131412-solved-help-site-locks-up/ Share on other sites
F1Fan
Is it the server or the user's browser that is locking up? Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/131412-solved-help-site-locks-up/#findComment-682481 Share on other sites
DarkWater
And we'd need to see what the page is actually doing. =/ Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/131412-solved-help-site-locks-up/#findComment-682483 Share on other sites
Riparian
It seems to be the users browsers although the one that rang said they had to re-boot page is www. ausspecs.com.au/index.php Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/131412-solved-help-site-locks-up/#findComment-682502 Share on other sites
DarkWater
I'm currently just doing some quick tests (ping and traceroute). I'll get back to you when they finish. They're taking FOREVER though. Each ping is taking over 2 seconds, which is REALLY slow. The fact that the server is so slow is probably causing the issues because of all the images and stuff that it probably needs to fetch for that layout (I didn't look at the source code yet, just speculating).
