I have a mysql database backup files of a server, can I extract or see d data dat is there in it such as username and password info, if so , how ??? Well, I don't know but u might find my question bad, if so den please direct me to start from where as I want to learn mysql, webserver, php and I found dis site thru google so came here............ corbin Posted November 15, 2008 Share Posted November 15, 2008 If you extract the data and look in the mysql.privs (or something similar table) you can see the usernames and encrypted passwords. But, no, you can't just find the passwords. Don't know what you're up to, but it doesn't sound legit to me.
