I know they must be floating around, I need a website where I can upload videos to a website, similar to youtube. Can anyone help me out please? That's great n' all...but, A: I can't for the life of me get phpSHIELD to work properly, and I keep following exact instructions to no avail. slpctrl Posted November 17, 2008 Author Share Posted November 17, 2008 In fact, looking into this, to simply INSTALL this PHP application, it requires a full reconfiguration and recompilation of the PHP binaries BECAUSE thread safety by default is enabled, there is no option in your php.ini thus you have to completely reconfigure and recompile the binaries. That being said, google 'hosting youtube clone' and you will find some companies that will do it for you on shared hosting. Chris From California Posted November 27, 2008 Share Posted November 27, 2008 I've been using Cirtex for a little while and to be honest it hasn't been bad for me, although I may just have gotten lucky. I've been running PHPMOTION on my server for a little while now. It's isn't as fast as youtube, but it loads fine. You may also want to have a look at Clipbucket. Looks much nicer and that Admin panel has many more features than PHPmotion. On a side note though PHPMOTION is releasing version 3 here pretty soon.
