hamza Posted November 22, 2008 Share Posted November 22, 2008 error message is :---> "local area connection is not enabled for dhcp" Anyone can suggest or help me with this actally i want to change my ip address when i am connected to internet using dialup connecting the syntax i am following is that : ipconfig /release *Local Area Connection 1* after following this syntax i have got the errror message shown above . .josh Posted November 22, 2008 Share Posted November 22, 2008 Not really sure how you manage to have a static IP address, being a dialup and all...unless you are dialing into a specific LAN (like at your work or something) and then connect to the internet through there... Are you dialing into some work LAN or are you just using a dialup ISP like netzero or aol?
