Kagebunshin Posted November 30, 2008 Share Posted November 30, 2008 Hello, Well im kinda new to mySQL and PHPBB but i was hoping u guys could help me abit. i got a backupfile from a forum. the previous person who was hosting is dissappeared it so i wanna host it. i tried various ways. but couldnt get it done i hope u guys can help me. the backup i got is a .sql file. when i try importing it to mysql manager it gives error's. when i import it to phpmyadmin it works but i dotn know how to get it like starting ^^ dont know how to start it in mysql aswell. or is there a way to link the phpmyadmin database with a mysql ? i dont realy understand any1 can help ? But how do i run that ? i mean like. when i typ localhost(or my ip) how do i get the forum ? now when i go localhost i get the index of wampserver. but how do i get my forum there ?
