Akenatehm
Hey Guys, We are trying to use this PHP script to send the data inputted into a text field into a MySQL Database. It doesn't seem to be working, it shows up that the Action Script Function is working properly so I assume that the error is in the PHP document. If anyone could help that would be great. I don't know how to use the MySQL Error Function and the page is showing up blank when I just open the PHP file in the browser and it shows up blank so I assume there is an error in the MySQL or something? Here is the PHP: <?php include "connect.php"; $message=$_POST['MSG']; $username=$_POST['user']; $chat_id=$_POST['chatid']; $id = "chatid_$chat_id"; $insert = "INSERT INTO '$id' (username, message) VALUES ($username, $message)"; ?> Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/134932-php-and-flash/ Share on other sites
.josh
INSERT INTO TABLENAME (column1, column2, etc...) VALUES (value1, value2, etc...) Are you sure that $id is your table name? trq
Even if $id does hold your table name, it shouldn't be within quotes, your values on the other hand will likely need be. $insert = "INSERT INTO $id (username, message) VALUES ('$username', '$message')"; Now, you never actually execute this query either, is this all the code?
