denoteone
Not sure if this is the correct forum but here goes. I just redid a 100 page+ site and now all pages are named the same but end in a .php extension. I would like to keep all of my inbound links so if the link is www.mydomain.com/contact.html the server would serve up the page www.mydomain.com/contact.php is this possible and if it is do I alter the php config file? gevans
You want to use a .htaccess file, it needs to go in the route directory in the .htaccess file put; RemoveHandler .html AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .html Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/135692-calling-php-pages/#findComment-706973 Share on other sites
GingerRobot
That's not going to work. That would be fine if you wanted to let html files be parsed as php but, as i understand it, those html files no longer exist. You'll need to use the mod_rewrite apache module, with the following in a .htaccess file in your web root: RewriteEngine on RewriteRule (.*?)\.html$ $1.php Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/135692-calling-php-pages/#findComment-706986 Share on other sites
