I need to store SIN numbers in a database. I've found a couple of 2-way algorhythms but they don't return hexadecimal strings. Anyone know of any good algorhythms?

Plenty, and they'll all return binary data.

You'll need to convert it from binary to text if you want to store it in a VARCHAR2 in a database, or use a CLOB to store it as a binary.

The base64_encode() function can be used to convert binary to text
